Having quickly filled the body with that power up to the crown of the head, and having gathered attention at the bridge of the eyebrows, making the mind free of conceptual thought, the All-Pervading One comes forth in the highest state.
Plain English Rendering
“Feel subtle aliveness filling the body upward toward the crown. Let attention gather gently at the eyebrow center, allow thought to soften, and rest in expansive, non-contracted awareness.”
Literal translations remain close to the source text. Plain English renderings are interpretive contemplative renderings for accessibility and reflection.
Meaning
The verse speaks of filling the body up to the crown with the subtle force already introduced in the preceding dharana. Here prana is approached as living presence or subtle aliveness, not as a dramatic physical event.
The eyebrow center functions as a point where attention becomes gathered and steady. The instruction is contemplative: attention collects, thought quiets, and awareness is no longer contracted around ordinary concepts.
All-pervading awareness means spacious presence that is not limited to one sensation, image, or mental object. The practice points toward openness after attention has become subtle and collected.

Reflection Prompt
“What happens when attention becomes gathered without becoming tight?”
Connection to Inner Freedom
Inner freedom appears as awareness becomes less contracted around thought and sensation. The body is felt as living presence, the mind softens, and attention rests in a wider field.
