What is Moksha?
Vedanta · Moksha · Inner Freedom
Moksha is often understood as liberation. But liberation from what?
In Vedanta, Moksha is freedom from confusion about who you are. It is not about going somewhere else. It is about seeing clearly.
Most of us live thinking we are the body, the mind, and the roles we play. Because of this, we experience stress, fear, and a constant sense that something is missing.
Moksha is the discovery that your essential nature is already free.
The Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita point again and again to this truth: you are not limited to what you experience. You are the one to whom all experience appears.
This understanding brings a deep and lasting freedom.
If this idea feels new, begin with clarity. Clarity is the first step on the path to Moksha.
